Artecasalugano is the most important lifestyle fair in Italian part of Switzerland and it gathers up to 250 companies active in the field of architecture, design, furniture, new technologies and environmental sustainability. The exhibition area of 10,000 square meters is expected to attract around 40,000 visitors again this year.
For the 59th edition of the event, Artecasa Lugano called for proposals to host a social project in the exhibition. After submitting its proposal, inclusione andicap ticino was selected to present the activities of the Design for All Competence Centre at a stand.
In order to illustrate the advantages of Universal Design (UD) and how it can bring about significant and ethical added-value through inclusion, there will be several moments of interaction and play with the visitors of the stand. The main objective is to bring the general public closer to important issues such as autonomy at work, self-determination, and equal rights in the use of space.
