Cooperativa Vivere Lambertenghi is developing a new virtuous, social and inclusive project in Lugano, that represents one of the small number of housing cooperatives in Ticino.
Following the grant of land rights, a call for proposals was published to select the project for the new building complex, with a strong emphasis on intergenerational philosophy. The winner was Studio Farra Zoumboulakis & Associés in Lausanne. The project includes a day centre, a kindergarten and apartments with moderate rent. The idea behind is not to offer only single units, but also shared living spaces and solidarity among tenants.
The Cooperativa Vivere Lambertenghi first chose to sign the Design for All Manifest and then started a collaboration with our Competence Centre.
The aim is to apply the principles of UD and achieve enhanced, multi-sensory accessibility for the well-being of future tenants.
