The Order of engineers and Architects of the Canton of Ticino, on the occasion of the Ordinary yearly Assembly of its members, organizes an enrichment event. This year's topic is: "Design for All, inclusive landscapes and architecture”. The panel's focus begins with technical and socio-economic considerations regarding how to design private and public works, such as housing and administrative buildings, stations, elderly homes, squares, or roads. These constructions were created and built for an array of individuals and are a part of both the built and natural heritage.
Therefore, creating spaces that are inclusive for all potential users should be the goal of any construction. It is crucial for decision makers, both in private and public sectors, as well as professionals in the field, to be aware of and to implement the correct methodology to reach this objective.
Design for All (DfA) provides the appropriate methodological approach.
